Shero Story Wall

 My Grandma Flo is my true Shero!

Though we aren’t related by blood, she became family when my dad married her daughter, who was my “mom”. She was the first to truly make me feel seen, a feeling that was so new and precious to me. My deep faith is a gift I owe to her too. And somehow she always seemed to have the perfect timing, appearing just when I needed her most over the course of my adult life. That special bond remains with me even now, even though she’s been gone since 2009. She shared her love of the art of crochet with me as well. Which has given me the opportunity to bring joy and blessings to others. An example she set for me. I miss her terribly, but still look up to her every day!!

I am grateful for my friend Monica Dee Andrea! She is a true hype girl, for me and for other women. She is one of those women who spreads love and positivity. Encouraging others and making us feel seen! Monica is one of my Sheroes!

Let me tell you about a woman who changed my life… Kimberly Santiago.

We met in 2021 after a simple Facebook request and instantly clicked.

At the time, I was still the woman who listened when people said things like “Are you sure you can do that?” or “That seems like a lot…” I was holding back, people pleasing and playing small in ways I didn’t even fully realize yet.

And then Kim walked into my life… and saw something in me that I wasn’t fully owning.

She didn’t question me. She didn’t doubt me. She didn’t try to shrink my vision to something more “reasonable.” Kim saw what I was capable of… and she has never let me play small since.

She opened the door to the arena for me.

Before I had a circle of women who think big, move big, and call me forward… it was her.

Kim is still my biggest hype girl. 💖

Jamie Gates is not only my Shero, she is the Shero. She had the amazing idea to create this platform to recognize the women she meets that have an impact. But let me tell you what I see... I see a woman who is the impact. Everyone she touches comes out better for having met her. She inspires so many women every day. But she also inspires me. She is my muse. My love. My joy. So today, for her birthday, we launched this platform so every Shero could be recognized. And for that, Jamie is a real Shero!
